Job Description | We are looking for a laundress/housekeeper for a full time live-out position near Windsor to as soon as possible. A meticulous, hardworking and adaptable individual is required to join the team at a large household near Windsor. The successful candidate will be working within the management of the Estate Director looking after the daily running of the household, with the primary duties to include, but not to be limited to, laundry, cleaning, and tidying. The client regularly travels and has friends and family who stay at the house; therefore the property needs to be kept in a constantly immaculate state and ready for guest arrival at any time. A proactive individual will relish the opportunity to become a valued member of the staff team in an exciting and fast paced environment. " Hours: Friday to Tuesday from 9am to 5pm with one hour lunch break. " Salary: Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum - depending on experience (Annual discretionary bonus). " Location: Windsor area Daily Duties (including but not limited to) " Responsible for washing, ironing and when possible repairing and darning of Principal and guest clothing, towels and linen. " Experienced in hand washing and care of fine fabrics and garments. " Washing / ironing and returning all staff uniforms as required. " Washing and ironing all service items (tablecloths / napkins etc) " Ensuring laundry areas are clean, tidy and well maintained. " Report any faults / issues to the Estate Director. " Inform Estate Director of any damage or stains to any items. " Inform Estate Director when external laundry solutions are required. " Collect laundry from laundry bins in all buildings within the Estate. " Carry out daily clean of laundry room (surfaces / machines / floor etc). " Wardrobe management: ensure all items are correctly stored in dressing rooms (Principals and guests). " Functions: Support service in the kitchen, serving at the table, serving canapés, preparing coffees etc as directed by the Estate Director. " Assist weekly staff meetings or when required. " During busy periods, staff cover and holiday cover you will be asked to carry out Housekeeper duties as per below: - Responsible for carrying out the cleaning of all buildings within the Estate to the highest of standards. This will include polishing, dusting, mopping, brushing and vacuuming as required to all interior areas to ensure the property is in excellent condition. - Replenishing the consumable toiletries and decorations as required. - Changing linen on beds and towels in powder rooms / bathrooms when required. - Regularly emptying the house/room waste bins. - Clean any additional staff quarters within the Estate, in use by staff or the Resident. - Note any damage or defects found within the property or any of the additional locations and report these to the Estate Director. - Report any issues with household cleaning equipment to the Estate Director. - Care for and supervise the family dogs where possible and as requested. - Clean and maintain all interior areas of the house, its contents and guest rooms to a schedule that works with the needs of the family (i.e. children's sleep times, meal times, etc). - Replenishing and restocking of toiletries as needed. - Care for flower arrangements (delivered by an external supplier) - Work with room inventory lists. - Experience/Skills/Characteristics " Essential experience of working for an HNWI family in a large busy family home. " Experience of silver service. " Cooking is an advantage. " Experience in care of high value items. " Experience with smart houses. " Exceptional attention to detail. " A "can do" positive personality and take pride in their work. " Professional, calm and discrete. " Happy to work as part of a team and have a flexible approach to working shift patterns. " Worldwide travel may be required. " Spanish is an advantage. Employment package " Annual leave: 28 days per annual calendar year (not entitled to bank holidays). Annual leave is to be taken when principals are not in residence. " Security CRB checks will be carried out prior to an employment offer. " All staff to be trained in first aid inclusive of paediatric first aid. " Dedicated daytime staff area has been provided onsite. |
