| Job Description | North Wiltshire SN11 - Permanent, Full Time, Experienced Couple – Housekeeper/Cook AND Gardener/Handyperson/Househelp. Friendly couple needed for busy Second Home in Wiltshire. Would suit cheerful, energetic, flexible couple with professional approach and excellent working attitude. Housekeeper / Cook Role: Set up breakfast, cook lunch and dinner and cater for dinner parties on occasion. As cooking is an integral part of the position, experience and a love of cooking is essential. The focus is on healthy food, so a good understanding of this or a willingness to learn is imperative. The Housekeeper will keep house to the highest levels, including presentation, cleaning, laundry, silver polishing, flower arranging, shopping, dealing with tradesmen etc. Gardener/ Handyperson/ House help Role: The position is comprised of maintaining certain outside areas and working closely with the live out gardener to assist with a variety of gardening duties. A substantial amount of the time is spent in the garden which increases in the months between May and October. The remainder of the position includes all usual internal and external household maintenance, maintaining cars and driving owners between train stations and airports and assisting housekeeper/cook etc. Usual working week is five days from Thursday through to Monday, with Tuesday and Wednesday off. Hours will revolve around the principals being in residence so are longer on Saturday and Sunday and during school holidays. Travel with the family is also necessary. The successful applicants will be prepared to be flexible on hours throughout the year and have a can do attitude, be able to follow instructions yet also be proactive and happy to work on their own initiative. Good communication skills and fluent English are essential. Both applicants should be drivers, non smokers, have basic computer skills, impeccable references and have or be in the process of obtaining CRB’s. There are two polite, fun loving children in the household so child friendliness is essential. Salary dependent on experience. Attractive long term prospects for right applicants.
