Job Description

We are a family of four looking for housekeeper/cook to come in daily Mon-Fri 3pm to 8pm to cook a family meal, clean and keep the house organised for us.

Days: Monday to Friday 3pm to 8pm
Hours: 20 in total per week
Immediate start

Must have good rapport with children as from time to time it May be required to pick them up, and sit down to play with them or to do homework therefore an up to date, relevant DBS check is essential.

Duties Include everything necessary to keep our family flat spotless and tidy:
- All cleaning and housekeeping duties;
- Ensuring an orderly and clean house is kept at all times and that all laundry, ironing and cleaning is completed to a high standard;
- Sweeping, washing floors, dusting, hoovering, polishing mirrors and windows, dishes, cleaning fridge & cupboards etc.
- Cooking at least one meal a day
- General tidying up
- Periodic/Seasonal deep cleaning (interior/exterior windows, oven, inside cupboards, under beds)
- Running errands, picking up dry cleaning, groceries

We are looking for someone who:
- is a good competent cook and can follow recipes or be creative with the types of food that children (and adults) like
- is tidy and clean - is happy to keep busy on the days that there are less things to do
- is reliable and punctual - despite this being a part time job, we need someone who can come and leave on time
- has acute attention to detail
- has household cleaning experience with strong, checkable references
- likes children
- is cheerful and happy - this is a happy house so being kind and respectful to everyone is a must!

Pay: £11-12 per hour
