Job Description

Seeking a happy and dog friendly Housekeeper/Cook to look after our beautiful home and to work alongside other staff (gardener and part time cleaner).

You will be responsible for the housekeeping with the cleaner, keeping the house clean and tidy at all times. Excellent laundry ability is a must, as is excellent hygiene standards.

A reasonable / good level of English is required.

A good level of cooking is also required, as you will need to prepare meals for the family and follow recipes, and be able to cater for small dinner parties from time to time (e.g. 4 a year).

Hours: Approximately 38 hours per week, with almost all weekends off. You will be offered the opportunity to pet sit when the family is away, with extra pay. Mondays are the busiest day at my house, because we have another cleaner come in Tuesdays and Thursday for 5 hours each time the rest of the week is lighter work.

(If you are commuting for this week day job from further away there is the opportunity to leave on a Friday just after midday subject to agreement at interview)

Location: Potters Bar

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience. Approx £300npw which is £20,000 gross per year. Twice a year performance related bonus.

Other: Non smokers only and correct working visas only or EU passport holder.

Start Date: End of November / Beg Dec. For the right candidate we can wait until the New Year.
