Job Description

We are looking for a part-time housekeeper to come 5 days per week to our 4 bedroom house in Muswell Hill. We both work full time, and have three girls aged 14, 13 and 9.

Housekeeping duties would include cleaning and ironing, plus some laundry and general tidying up. We would also love it if you enjoy cooking vegetarian meals, that we can eat as a family when we get home from work.

You will be there when our children come home from school, and it will be an important part of the job to chat to the girls about their day at school, what homework they need to do, and help them to tidy up their rooms.

The hours will be 3.30 – 6.30 from Monday to Friday, rate approx. £10 to £12 per hour.

Out of the total weekly 15 hours, we think you would spend: 5 hours cleaning; 5 hours laundry and ironing; 5 cooking. We would like you to take responsibility for planning your own work over the course of the week to ensure the household runs smoothly and is well maintained.

Housekeeping tasks will include:

• Cleaning kitchens and bathrooms
• Hoovering and dusting
• Changing beds and washing sheets
• Washing and ironing clothes
• Planning and cooking vegetarian meals
• Putting away grocery deliveries
• Watering plants in house and garden

Personal qualities required:

You will need to be able to provide:

• A permit to work in the UK
