30 hour a week live in Housekeeper, Surrey - £22,500 per annum gross salary – September start

Fantastic job for a live-in family housekeeper. This busy family are looking for domestic help for the smooth running of the household and to maintain the house in a consistently tidy and organised fashion. As well as after school help for their 2 daughters aged 11 and 13. Driving is an essential part of the role.

You will be flexible and willing to assist in all aspects of a busy friendly family life; be organised, efficient and pro-active in your role; a good confident cook able to prepare food to a consistently high standard using largely fresh and organic produce. You will be fluent in English, of a happy and positive disposition, be able to juggle and multi task using your own initiative at busy times, a non-smoker. You will enjoy being around children, be flexible in your outlook and comfortable working in an environment where both parents are often also around the house in the week.

Location: Chiddingfold is a medium size village approximately 20 minutes south of Guildford. It is a rural area with the nearest towns (Godalming and Haslemere) 10-15 minutes away.

Salary: £400 - £450 gross per week / Separate Self Contained Cottage within the grounds

Job Start Date: ASAP

Duties: Daily morning upkeep of kitchen, bedrooms & bathrooms to ensure the house is always tidy and presentable (4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms). Perform light housekeeping duties; laundry including hand washing of delicates and ironing etc as required. Weekly full clean of the house.

Weekly menu planning, organising shopping, cooking and preparation of family friendly meals. (Both evening and lunchtime). Assisting with children’s meal times as required and tidying of kitchen after. Maintaining the fridge and all food / grocery stocks as required.

Regular driving to help with children’s school pick-ups / evening and weekend activities / shopping or other tasks as needed. Occasional child care at evenings and weekends.
Assist with pets to include feeding and exercise as needed.
Experience: 2 year’s plus working in a similar role with excellent references from your previous employer. Up to date Enhanced DBS required to secure role.
Driver: You will be a competent driver with a clean licence and own vehicle.

Your Working hours: approximately 30 hours of work per week inc 4 hours on Saturday - 2 days off per week. (1 weekday and Sunday) but flexibility is required to fit in with the family needs.

Your accommodation is a beautiful two bedroom cottage overlooking the lake in the garden. All amenities are included.
