Job Description

A large family home based in Northamptonshire is seeking a “traditional” highly motivated and experienced Housekeeper. This is not a ‘live in’ position, therefore the ideal candidate would need to be based locally and happy to be the sole keeper of the property.
The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic, reliable, and trustworthy. Ability to work under own initiative is essential. This is a true housekeeper role and not just that of a cleaner so you must be happy to be sole manager of the property when the owners are absent.

This is a long-term position - 25hrs per week, 9:00 to 14:00 – although flexibility is essential.

Household jobs which are to be carried out on a daily/weekly/monthly basis include:

Cleaning General Living areas
Cleaning small Gym
Arranging indoor Flowers
Laundry/Ironing – Bedding, towels, gym kit, business shirts, napkins, tea towels etc
Window Cleaning interior and exterior
Cleaning Outside Furniture, Seating and Patio Areas
Dry Cleaning – Drop off and collection
Household Shopping – Cleaning products, kitchen rolls, toilet rolls etc
Grocery Shopping – Fresh Produce & Cupboard stock items (Orange Juice, Soft Drinks, Water)
General Cleaning of Outside Storage Areas and Garage
Overseeing External Work - Gardeners, Electrician, Rent-o-Kil etc

Weekends – Must be available for Security checks and garden watering when owners are away

Salary - Probationary period of 3 months at a salary to be agreed, thereafter rising to a mutually agreeable salary, which will be based upon experience.

Holiday - 20 days per year. A credit card and fuel allowance will also be provided.
