Job Description

We're looking for a special person to join our family of four in our six bedroom house with a 3 acre garden on the edge of Dartmoor in Devon. The job would involve all things domestic, we want someone to live with us and do cleaning, vegetarian cooking (doesn't need to be fancy!) and gardening (there is a ride on mower and hedge-trimmer to play with!)

We're imagining there would be roughly 12 hours of gardening, 15 hours of cleaning and washing and tidying and 8 hours of cooking every five day week. However, we're looking for someone who would be flexible and willing to go with what was needed every day, and just help out!

We work from home and also home-educate, so everyone is around a lot. We also have chickens and ducks and dogs and guinea pigs – it's a busy place :)

To fit in the person would need to be very flexible and fairly non-traditional. Our two boys are 8 and 10 and we're wanting someone who can connect with them too (not look after them necessarily) but get on with them and meet them where they are, this would take some energy and playfulness. A key here too is compassion, the person would need to be very accepting of us and our way of life. We lean towards understanding and empathy over 'have to's' 'should's' and 'musts'.

You'll have your own room and use a shared bathroom. You'll also have access to pretty good internet! We'll have the support and help we need :)
