Dear Applicant,
I’m looking for a person who is competent, confident, experienced, calm under pressure and conscientious about their work. The ideal person will help to continue the harmonious team spirit we have amongst our other staff and be a key part of the day to day running of a busy household. You'll be working alongside a part-time weekend junior housekeeper and afterschool care.
Our family is large, fun-loving, very active with 4 children aged between 10-15y old, plus a family dog.
Location: NW6 3AN
Hours: Monday-Thursday, 9am-8pm
Pay: £35,000–£39,500pa(gross) with holiday and sick pay, extra benefits incl. an opt-in Bupa health care and overtime pay.
Start date:1st November 2021
The Job: Manage the daily upkeep of the house.
Ensuring high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and order in all areas of the house. This includes: creating a routine/ house manual for cleaning. Create and maintain household inventory, managing supplies and equipment.
Reporting any household maintenance and liaising with maintenance and building contractors. When required helping organize guest stayovers, dinner parties, family celebrations
Arrange weekly dry-cleaning, confident in organising family wardrobes. Good understanding of laundry, fabrics and delicate-wear and ironing.
General family PA duties: like booking restaurants, Deliveroo, Uber/Taxi, household online shop. Able to use WhatsApp, google maps, etc. Liaising with the family PA.
Pet duties: walking the dog, collect from the groomers when needed.
Travel: The family travel during all school holidays, you may need to travel with the family in the same capacity, to UK countryside, Europe, USA (negotiable). Max. 2 weeks at a time. If you don’t travel, the time would be used to deep clean, organize and manage the house, look after house guests if needed. Or take holidays.
Cooking: happy to cook at least 2 meals p/w for the family, help with packed lunches for 2 children. Don't have to be a trained Chef but must have a genuine interest in cooking and be able to follow recipes and produce menu plans.
The applicant: Strictly a Non-smoker. Very good-excellent command of English. Ideally, CRB/DBS check. Essential- at least 3 good UK checkable references from previous families for a similar job. Any additional qualifications are very welcome, i.e. first aid certified, UK driver license. Please send a cover letter introducing yourself.
