Job Description

We are on the hunt for an extremely proactive head housekeeper to join a very large secondary residence for a UHNW family in the Cotswolds.

This candidate needs to be highly experienced working in UHNW households, as the client has extremely high standards when it comes to housekeeping and the presentation of their home. It is imperative that the head housekeeper they hire, understands how to maintain these standards on a consistent basis.

The head housekeeper will be working closely alongside the Estate Manager, making sure each other’s timetables align. It is important that the head housekeeper works well within a team and is also able to take direction.

Due to the nature of the client, the candidate will need to be very discrete and appreciative of their privacy. The candidate must be at ease in both formal environments when guests are around as well as more informal private family moments.

Duties include but not limited to:

• All cleaning, polishing, dusting and vacuuming
• Maintenance and management of all cleaning supplies, equipment, and amenities
• Train and supervise other housekeepers within the household team
• Working closely with all household team members to ensure the smooth running of the household
• Uphold strict confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of the role, respecting the privacy and security concerns of the family.
• Demonstrate a proactive and solutions-oriented approach to household issues that may arise
• All laundry care, including experience looking after high-end luxury garments and clothing
• Changing linen and making beds as per the schedule of the home
• Packing and unpacking for the principals

Accommodation is offered for those that want to live in, however, if the candidate lives locally, the role can become live out. Please note, due to the remote nature of the role, all candidates will need to drive and preferably own their own car.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with exceptional organisational abilities and is able to think on their feet in a dynamic household. The family plans do change within a moment’s notice, so every day won’t be the same.

The role offers 45 – 50 hours per week, and since this is the client’s secondary residence, availability over the weekend is crucial.
