| Job Description | A warm and active family in Billericay is looking for an experienced, reliable and proactive Housekeeper/Chef to support our family home. This is a live-out, full-time role (40–50 hours per week) with a strong focus on housekeeping and cooking, plus light childcare support for our toddler as part of the daily routine. Hours: 40–50 hours/week, Monday to Friday, some flexibility required) Location: Billericay Start date: Mid-March or sooner Key responsibilities Housekeeping (core duties): • Daily cleaning, tidying and maintaining high standards throughout the home • Laundry, ironing, changing beds and wardrobe/linen organisation • Managing household supplies and keeping the home well stocked • Occasional errands and ad-hoc household tasks as needed Cooking (core duties): • Preparing fresh, healthy meals for the family (daily dinner cooking) • Menu planning and compiling grocery lists (as agreed) • Keeping the kitchen organised, clean and well maintained • Batch cooking / meal prep for busy weeks Limited childcare support (toddler): • Occasional nursery pick-ups when required • Occasional babysitting by mutual agreement (with notice, where possible) The right person: • Proven experience as a housekeeper and confident family cook/chef • Organised, discreet and able to work independently with initiative • Warm and comfortable around young children (toddler experience preferred) • Excellent references required • DBS checked (or willing to obtain one) • Car licence required What we offer: • A supportive and respectful family environment • Competitive hourly pay of £17-£20, depending on experience • Amazing company benefits (PAYE employment) • Consistent full-time hours and ability to work overtime To apply, please share a short introduction, your relevant experience (housekeeping, cooking and childcare, if any), availability, and references. |
