| Job Description | We are looking for a housekeeper to join our household near Beccles: a family of four, along with two much-loved dogs, living in an old five-bedroom manor house that is busy, warm and rarely quiet. The role covers laundry, ironing, and the general upkeep and cleanliness of the house, ensuring everything runs smoothly day to day. Some cooking would be a welcome addition but is by no means essential; we are far more interested in someone who excels at the core responsibilities of the role than someone spread thinly across several. This is a lively family home with young children present, so a genuine ease with children and a fondness for dogs are both important, as is the energy for a household that keeps moving. Trust matters a great deal to us, so honesty and reliability are essential. A full, clean driving licence is required. An enhanced DBS check will be carried out as part of our vetting process, along with standard reference checks. We would prefer a live-out arrangement, though we are open to discussing live-in options; should the right candidate need accommodation, we would be pleased to help arrange something suitable nearby rather than lose them over logistics. Days and hours can be discussed and tailored, though we are looking for someone consistent and dependable rather than occasional. References will be required.
